April 22, 2017- Tulsa, OK – Saturday was a special evening for The Bama Companies, Inc. Each year, we get to honor our newest inductees into a very special group we call the Circle of Excellence. This group is comprised of those employees who have been with the company for 20 or more years.
In a day in which the average person will change jobs 12 times during their working years, and a large majority of employees will stay less than five years, Paula Marshall, CEO, is proud of the culture Bama works tirelessly to cultivate. In all, there are more than 150 employees that have been with the company for at least 20 years. There are also many who have been with Bama as long as 30 and some even 40 plus years.
This year’s Circle of Excellence Dinner and Reception was held at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, where more than 300 honorees and guests gathered to celebrate the event and the nine newest members who were inducted. Guests were treated to a three course meal, as well as dancing and entertainment afterward.
Going Home Award
Each year, at the ceremony, Bama also awards a team member with the Going Home Award. This award entitles a team member to an all-expenses paid trip to visit family members they haven’t seen in some time, anywhere in the world. This year’s winner was Peggy. Peggy has family that she hasn’t been able to see in more than 25 years. She will receive airfare and spending money for her trip. Past winners have traveled to as far away as Vietnam and China.
The evening provides a chance to celebrate the atmosphere and culture and vision that Marshall has worked and continues to work countless hours to instill throughout the company, and a chance to recognize those who have contributed so much to that vision.
