Education is at the top of Bama’s corporate philanthropy initiatives. Through this program and others, we are committed to working with teachers to provide a meaningful and enriching educational experience for Oklahoma’s youth.
In partnership with Tulsa Community Foundation, Bama has created a fund dedicated solely to the awarding of financial grants for classroom needs or creative classroom learning projects for children in grades K-12.
At least one child in the classroom must be a dependent of a Bama team member, or the teacher can be a spouse or child of a Bama team member. Teachers who are applying as the spouse or child of a Bama team member must attach legal documentation verifying the relationship. The funds must be used for a need or project in the current school year and may not be held for the following year.
Grants for Teachers will award up to $250 to teachers for the funding of classroom needs or projects based on the following criteria:
1. Is the learning project one that enhances the “everyday” curriculum by bringing the world of learning alive for students?
2. Does the project offer opportunities for learning that would otherwise go unfunded?
3. How important is the need or program in achieving the teacher’s overall classroom objectives?
